Veteran Companion Animal Services is hosting their inaugural golf scramble Sunday September 13 at 2:00pm. Their focus is simple but very impactful. They are supporting veterans in need due to PTSD or other issues that are residual from the time they spent serving while serving our country. In the month of August 2020 they have delivered 5 dogs to veterans in need. The dogs were rescued from the Delaware County Human Society. The result, they save a dog that will begin a higher purpose of assisting a needy veteran, providing companionship and instilling a daily responsibility of owning a dog. Their charity provides all food, training, veterinary and insurance to veterans for one year. The dogs and their new owners are currently in training provided by VCAS.
Every penny received from the golf outing will go to the support of our veterans. Along with supporting the dog placements they are also providing many social activities for the veterans, allowing them to interact with other veterans experiencing similar issues. This helps them cope at a higher level. Please check out our website: https://www.vcascharity.org.
Additionally, we are seeking hole sponsors. Find more information or sign up your 4-man team HERE
