Stand up comedian, Pat McGann, came on the show to promote his new comedy special which comes out July 28th, as he has been taken under the wing of comedy heavy hitter, Sebastian Maniscalco. The special “When’s Mom Gonna Be Home?” is also a great display of Pat’s humor as he tells us his creative process and how he got his rise to fame.
Impressionist Harry Shearer joined the show to promote his new parody song “Son in Law” about Donald Trump as well as gave his history of impressions as he was the voice of many characters on “The Simpsons” and how he goes through a process of making an impression of someone.
Deep Purple member, Roger Glover, joined the show to promote the bands new album “Whoosh!” coming out on August 7th. Roger also told us the story behind the song titled “Smoke on the Water” and some of the best tales from bands history and how they toured around the world.
Our friend of the program, Dr. Murray Cohen joined the show on a Friday. Dr. Cohen is an infectious disease specialist who retired from the CDC after working over 20 years there and he talked to us about the importance of wearing a mask, how we can better combat the virus outbreak and the likelihood of sports happening this fall.
He was an original writer on Saturday Night Live & he is a comedic genius, having written for comedians such Jerry Seinfeld, Larry David, Billy Crystal and many more. He joined us to promote his new book “I helped make funny people funnier” which is his outlining of his comedy career spanning from Garry Shindling’s Show to the modern era of YouTube & Netflix.
Comedian & friend of the program, Greg Warren, joined the show to promote his new comedy album “Where the Field Corn Grows” which is out on all platforms. Greg gave us a taste of his stand up special as well how he came to find his niche as a agricultural comedian and someone who walks the line of clean and dirty comedy.
Comedian & Ventriloquist, Terry Fator, joined the show ahead of his act at the Columbus Funny Bone. Terry was a winner of America’s Got Talent back in 2007 & he has been a regular act out in Las Vegas. Terry talked about his iconic puppet acts with impressions with the likes of David Bowie, Elton John & even Donald Trump.
Our good buddy, Jody Shelley, joined the show to talk about the NHL’s plan to resume the 2020 season as the playoff eligible teams traveled to Toronto & the CBJ were one of the teams to participate so Jody gave us us the full low-down on the Jackets, their practices and what we might be able to expect out of the Jackets as they return to play.
