We had NFL coach & Super Bowl champion, Wade Phillips on the show to promote his book “Son of Bum”. Wade touched on some of his fond memories as an assistant with his dad for the Houston Oilers, he talked about the importance of his dad and fathers influence on him as a man and how he has taken some lessons from his dad into his coaching methods.
CPD Deputy Chief, Tim Becker joined the show to talk about the state of the downtown protests and how the peaceful protestors have been cooperating with law enforcement & despite the bad news of looters and riots, there are plenty of good people down in the state capital that are doing everything the right way. Deputy Becker gives a great interview for both sides arguments and its all after finishing a 13 hour shift.
Our pal and ‘Styx’ front-man, Tommy Shaw joined the show to promote his new song cover of Led Zepplins “Going to California”. Tommy also shared how the song cover came to be and some of his glory days from Styx and how he has handled the covid-19 pandemic.
ABC 6 reporter, Tom Bosco, joined the show to give us his take as a news reporter amidst the social injustice protests in downtown. Tom has reported live there for the last few days and he told us what exactly he has seen up close and what he has heard from the people and from the police force.
Former Buckeye & NFL player, Roy Hall, joined the show to share his perspective on the recent social injustice protests going on in town as well as how people from all races and socio-economic backgrounds can help one another in ways that not only help those that are oppressed, but ways that everyone can be unified.
Our friend Greg Harris, the President & CEO of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame joined us to talk about how he and the Rock Hall are doing since the start of the pandemic and how they plan to re-open with safety measures as well as how to make the experience enjoyable for visitors.
Our buddy and CBJ Reporter for the Athletic, Aaron Portzline, joined us to give an update on the NHL as owners and league officials met to discuss the status of the season going forward with the coronavirus and he outlined what the seasons return will mean for the hometown Blue Jackets.
The iconic, Dennis DeYoung, member of Styx, joined the show briefly for a chat with the guys as well as to promote his new song with Jim Paterik “Proof of Heaven” as well as reflect on some of his days back in rock and roll.
Chris Corso, the owner of the Short North Bar & Restaurant, Standard Hall, joined the show after getting some publicity over the weekend. His bar along with other bars across the state were allowed to open their patios for business as long as they followed the social distancing guidelines and after talking with the city officials and the ODH, he joined us to set the record straight and explain his policies going forward.
Our friend and listener of the program, Dr. Murray Cohen, joined the show once again to talk about the state of affairs going on with the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Cohen is a retired CDC immunologist and specializes in bio-terrorism. Dr. Cohen gave us an outline of how he thinks could be in the future and what we all can look for to help make the pandemic guidelines easier to abide by.
