COLUMBUS – An investigation conducted by the Central Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force resulted in the indictments and arrests of three Columbus men.
The three were indicted by a Franklin County grand jury on May 24 on a total of 13 human trafficking-related charges and were arrested Tuesday by the U.S. Marshals Service, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced.
Ka-Auija’e “Unique” Washington, 20 (pictured above, left), was charged with nine felony counts, including trafficking in persons, compelling prostitution, promoting prostitution, commercial sexual exploitation of a minor and pandering sexually-oriented material involving a minor.
Levrous “Vell” Alfred, 28 (center), was indicted on three felony counts of trafficking in persons, promoting prostitution and compelling prostitution; and Patrice Bigord, 21 (right), was indicted on one felony count of compelling prostitution, Yost said.
The Central Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force received tips from the National Human Trafficking Hotline, Crime Stoppers and the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services during the investigation, which also resulted in the identification of multiple juvenile victims, Yost said.
