Case, Kenyon, Oberlin, OSU among state’s top colleges

COLUMBUS – Case Western Reserve University was at the top of a list of the best colleges and universities in Ohio.

With tuition and room and board at a four-year colleges costing from $27,000 to $55,000 per year, the personal-finance website WalletHub Monday released its 2022 Best College & University Rankings, which compared over 1,000 higher-education institutions in the U.S. on student selectivity, cost, and career outcomes, based on data such as student-faculty ratio, graduation rate and post-attendance median salary.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology was ranked No. 1 in the nation and Case Western, the to-ranked Ohio school, was No. 46 overall.

Kenyon College and Oberlin College were Nos. 2 and 3 in Ohio, followed by Ohio State and No. and fifth-ranked Denison.

Among other central Ohio colleges, Otterbein (11), Ohio Dominican (12) and Capital (16) were ranked in the Top 20 in the state.
