Cheryl’s Cookies , Harry & David adding 2,400 holiday jobs

COLUMBUS – The parent company of Cheryl’s Cookies and Harry & David are adding more than 2,000 jobs to three central Ohio locations, among 8,000 employees the mail-order retailer is adding as it ramps up operations before the holiday season.

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, Inc. announced Wednesday it plans to hire 600 seasonal workers at the Cheryl’s Cookies Westerville and Obetz facilities and 1,800 at the Harry & David location in Hebron, Erin Benassi, associate director of public relations for Gourmet Food Group.

The company, a provider of gourmet food and floral gifts for 40 years, is hiring approximately 8,000 associates nationwide for positions Cheryl’s Cookies, Harry & David and The Popcorn Factory, according to a release. Seasonal positions are also being offered in Illinois and Oregon.

Available positions include full-time and part-time roles in high-volume areas such as production, gift assembly and retail stores, as well as call center, distribution and fulfillment center operations.

The seasonal associates will be eligible for applicable employee discounts and may also be considered for permanent positions once the holidays are over, the company said.
