Clippers 10, Mud Hens 2

TOLEDO – Johnathan Rodríguez drove in five runs while nearly hitting for the cycle in the Clippers’ 10-2 victory over the Toledo Mud Hens.

The hard-hitting right fielder hit a double, a triple and a home run Thursday night at Fifth Third Field.

Bryan Lavastida and Jhonkensy Noel added home runs for Columbus while Joey Cantillo (4-2) delivered seven strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings.

Mud Hens starter Keider Montero (0-1) struck out five hitters but was also touched for six runs on eight hits in his five innings on the mound.
