COLUMBUS – Juan Brito’s walkoff single gave the Clippers a 4-3 win over the Omaha Storm Chasers Friday night at Huntington Park.
Columbus was trailing 3-0 with one out in the seventh when Angel Martinez tied the score with one swing. tagging an inside slider and sending it over the left center field wall for a three-run homer.
Relievers Nic Enright and Tim Herrin (7-2) kept the Storm Chasers off the base paths the rest of the way until Brito’s sharp two-out liner to center off Dylan Coleman (1-4) brought George Valera around from second base with the game-winner.
