COLUMBUS – Jhonkensy Noel’s three-run walkoff homer gave the Clippers a 5-3 win over the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders Saturday night at Huntington Park.
The RailRiders were leading, 3-2, going into the final frame before Zach Greene (2-1) surrendered back-to-back walks to Oscar Gonzalez and Kyle Manzardo to lead off the inning and Noel cleared the bases by sending a 2-2 fastball over the right field wall to give Columbus its third straight win.
It was Noel’s 26th home run of the season and his second of the game after a solo shot in the fourth inning tied the score at 2-2.
Nic Enright (5-2) struck out two while pitching a perfect ninth inning for the win.
The Clippers will try to win the six-game series Sunday afternoon.
