Clippers end regular season with 3-2 loss to Omaha

COLUMBUS – Jose Briceno hit a two-run home run in the top of the ninth inning and Taylor Hearn struck out the side in bottom of the inning as the Omaha Storm Chasers beat the Clippers 3-2 in their regular season finale.

The Clippers’ only runs came on a two-run homer by Brayan Rocchio in the third inning.

Cade Smith (4-3) took the loss for Columbus, which finished with 68-79 record.

Jonah Dipoto (3-2) pitched one inning in relief for the win.
