COLUMBUS – The Clippers hammered the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp 11-3 in the opening game of a six-game series at Huntington Park Tuesday night.
Columbus built an 8-0 lead in the first two innings, powered by two-run home runs by Jhonkensy Noel and Johnathan Rodriguez off Daniel Castano (3-1). Bryan Lavastida added a two-run shot in the seventh inning.
Jason Bilous (3-2) pitched two innings in relief for the win.
