DELAWARE – A Columbus man has been charged in connection with the death of a man whose body was found beside Alum Creek Lake last month.

Detectives with the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, along with SWAT officers from Columbus and Dublin, arrested Timothy Baldrick early Saturday, Delaware County Sheriff Russell Martin said.
Authorities believe Baldrick, 43, was responsible for the death of Timothy Marcum, whose body was found inside a storage tote on the lake’s eastern shore June 28 by a kayaker.
Preliminary autopsy findings indicated Marcum died from a gunshot wound.
Baldrick was charged with abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence and is scheduled to be arraigned this week.
Additional charges may be filed, Martin said.
