COLUMBUS – Police say a man was shot to death during a home invasion-style robbery in Blacklick Thursday afternoon.
Brandon Fenton, Adam Casaid and Brandon Wymer, all 23 years old, and Dawit Mamay, 21, were held up at gunpoint inside an apartment on Cotterew Drive in the Cabot’s Mills Apartments by multiple suspects who pushed their way into the apartment shortly after 1:00 p.m. and ordered the men to lie on the floor, Sgt. David Shimberg of the Homicide Unit said.
Fenton was shot when he tried to confront the suspects and the other victims took him to Mount Carmel East Hospital where he died at 5:08 p.m., Shimberg said.
The incident is still under investigation and no suspects had been named by police by Friday morning.
This is the 39th Homicide in Columbus, Ohio in Calendar Year 2019. The investigation continues.
