Guardians 7, Rays 6

CLEVELAND (AP) — Steven Kwan’s sacrifice fly brought home Bo Naylor after Jose Tena tied the score with a single in the 11th inning to lift the Guardians to a 7-6 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays.

Rays center fielder Jose Siri had an opportunity to cut down Naylor at the plate, but his throw sailed wide.

Chris Devenski took the loss in his first appearance with the team.

Tampa Bay, which has a commanding lead in the AL wild-card race, lost for the third time in its last 11 games.

Cleveland has won four in a row as it attempts to catch Minnesota in the AL Central.
