COLUMBUS – Thousands of commuters and travelers were forced to find alternate routes into or around Columbus or remain stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic for hours during the Friday morning rush-hour because of a reported fatal shooting that shut down a section of a major interstate.
UPDATE: This article has been edited to include the names of the victims.
According to WBNS 10-TV, Columbus police say some sort of fight between two groups of people around 2:30 a.m. spilled over to I-70 when both groups got into vehicles and drove westbound as one of the people opened fire, hitting two of the four people in the other vehicle.

Perry Tuttle, Jr., 26, was taken to Grant Medical Center where he died shortly after the shooting. Dorrell Taylor, 25, was treated at Grant and released.
Police say a highway median crossover wire stopped the vehicle from crossing over into the eastbound lanes.
One person was pronounced dead, while another was wounded and taken to a local hospital, and the investigation forced the closure of the westbound lanes of I-70 from I-270 on the East Side to James Road (see map).
Police are still searching for the, who fled the scene.
