Perry Tuttle, Jr., 26, was taken to Grant Medical Center where he died shortly after the shooting. Dorrell Taylor, 25, was treated at Grant and released.

Police say a highway median crossover wire stopped the vehicle from crossing over into the eastbound lanes.

One person was pronounced dead, while another was wounded and taken to a local hospital, and the investigation forced the closure of the westbound lanes of I-70 from I-270 on the East Side to James Road (see map).

Police are still searching for the, who fled the scene.
