COLUMBUS – Griffin Conine’s tiebreaking two-run homer was the key to the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp’s 4-2 victory over the Clippers Wednesday.
After falling behind, 2-0, the Clippers tied the score in the fourth, thanks to RBI from Jhonkensy Noel and George Valera, only to see Conine drive the game-winning blast off Peyton Battenfield (0-5) over the left-center field wall at Huntington Park in the seventh.
Jose Castillo (2-1) got the win for Jacksonville.
