COLUMBUS – A man is in custody, charged with two counts of murder and one of felonious assault in a triple shooting at a Northeast Side shopping center early Wednesday, Columbus police said.
UPDATE 3/2/23 10:27 a.m.: Police have identified the victims in this incident as Cornett Powell, 41, Dawn Dunn, 41, and a 48-year-old man identified as “D.S.”
Jonathan Pigram, 37, was arrested at the scene of a shooting in the 6100 block of Cleveland Avenue that left a man and a woman dead and another man injured, Sgt. Edward Powell III of the Homicide Unit said.
Officers dispatched to on a reported at approximately 2:19 a.m. found two men and a woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, Powell said.
One man and the woman, whose names were not released until their families can be notified, were pronounced dead at the scene by Columbus Division of Fire paramedics while the second man was taken to a hospital, where Powell says he is in critical condition but expected to survive his injuries.
The investigation is ongoing, Powell said.
