COLUMBUS – Police are looking for clues in the death of a man found gunned down on the porch of a South Side home Thursday night.

Officers responding to a reported shooting in the 400 block of E. Welch Avenue just after 10:00 p.m. found Shannon Toler, 34, on the front porch suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition but died just before 4:30 Friday morning, Homicide Unit investigators said.
The investigation continues.
This is the 21st Homicide in Columbus in 2016.
