COLUMBUS – Police say they do not know why a 32-year-old man was shot to death in the parking lot of a Southeast Side McDonald’s Saturday.

Officers called to the restaurant at S. Hamilton Road and Kingsdale Avenue on a reported shooting at approximately 5:42 p.m., found Ricardo Henderson in the parking lot, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Henderson was taken to Mount Carmel East Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 6:16 p.m., homicide detectives said.
What precipitated the shooting is still under investigation, police said.
This is the 26th homicide of the year in Columbus.
