COLUMBUS – Columbus police are investigating the death of a man northeast of downtown early Saturday morning.

Tolen Flowers was found suffering from gunshot wounds just after 2:00 a.m. at the intersection of Cleveland Avenue and E. Spring Street, near the campus of Columbus State Community College, by officers responding to a reported shooting, according to Sgt. Edward Powell III of the homicide unit.
Flowers, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene by Columbus paramedics.
This was the 30th homicide of the year in Columbus.
Suspect in woman’s death surrenders
A man who was charged with murder in the death of a 56-year-old woman in a South Linden home has turned himself in to police.
Douglas Revels, 52 was charged in connection with the death of Traci Dalton, whose body was found at 4:03 p.m. Saturday by officers called to check on the well-being of a resident at the home in the 1100 block of E. Como Avenue, Sgt. David Shimberg said.
Because of the circumstances surrounding Dalton’s death, Shimberg says homicide detectives were called in to investigate.
Police are waiting for the Franklin County Coroner’s Office to determine the cause of the woman’s death, Shimberg said.
