DUBLIN – The 48th edition of “Jack’s tournament” will be the first of a new era: the Memorial Tournament is among eight “designated” events on the PGA Tour schedule this year, with a higher purse and more changes possible in 2024.

The Memorial Tournament presented by Workday (May 29-June 4)
Muirfield Village Golf Club – Yardage/par: Front: 3,752 (36) – Back: 3,819 (36) – Total: 7,571 (72)
120 players – Purse $20 million (Winner $3.6 million) + 550 FedExCup pts.
Defending champion Billy Horsche
This year, the Memorial is one of eight elevated events that offer $20 million in prize money, up from $12 million.
When the PGA tour returns to a traditional calendar schedule next year — January to August –the plan is for the eight elevated events (not including the majors or postseason) to have smaller fields that are still determined by performance, keeping the crucial meritocracy in golf, and no cut.
