Mets 7, Clippers 3

SYRACUE, N.Y. – The Clippers watched a two-run lead evaporate as the Syracuse Mets scored three runs in the sixth inning and went on to beat Columbus 7-3 Wednesday night at NBT Bank Stadium.

Columbus took a 3-1 lead into the inning but gave up three runs before recording an out with Tomas Nido scoring the tying run on a wild pitch by reliever Thomas Ponticelli (2-7) and Nick Meyer coming home with the go-ahead run when Wyatt Young grounded into a double play.

Dedniel Nunez (2-3) and four other Syracuse pitchers struck out 11 hitters.
