TOLEDO – The Toledo Mud Hens scored all of their runs in the first four innings of a 10-6 win over the Clippers Wednesday at Fifth Third Field.
Six of those runs came at the expense of Clippers starter Cal Quantrill (0-1) who left the game after only 1 1/3 innings.
The Mud Hens batted around in the second, scoring five runs, two of which came on a triple by Wenceel Perez, who also scored a run in the inning.
Eddys Leonard hit a two-run home run for Toledo.
Rony Garcia (1-0) got the win.
Micah Pries drove in two runs and Jhonkensy Noel hit a solo homer for the Clippers, who amassed 10 hits.
