TOLEDO – The Mud Hens won their fourth straight victory, 8-3, over the Clippers on Wednesday night at Fifth Third Field.
Toledo already led 8-0 when Erik Kratz belted a three-run home run with two outs in the seventh inning.
Bryan Holaday smacked his eleventh home run of the season in the win.
Myles Jaye (3-6) got the win for the Mud Hens while Julian Merryweather (3-5) took the loss for Columbus.
The Clippers will try to avoid being swept in the four-game series when the two teams meet up for the finale on Thursday at 6:35 p.m.
