One killed, one injured in NE Side shooting

COLUMBUS – A 60-year-old man was shot to death and another man was wounded when he came to his aid at a Northeast Side home late Tuesday night, police said.

Ronald Price and the 37-year-old man were both inside the home in the 2800 block of Atwood Terrace shortly before midnight when Price was shot, Sgt. James Marable of the Columbus police Homicide Unit said.

The other man was in another room and heard the gunfire at 11:58 p.m. He was shot when he came to help but told police he did not know what prompted the shooting, Marable said.

Both men were transported by Columbus Division of Fire paramedics to OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital where Price was pronounced dead at 1:38 a.m. Wednesday, Marable said.
