Police confirmed the discovery of a woman’s body Tuesday morning to WNBS 10TV.
The station reports that the body was found near West Mound Street, just north of the Scioto Audubon Metro Park.
No other information or identity was provided by police.
This comes less than a day after the body of an unidentified black male was found in the river behind COSI Monday night.
Kayakers in the river found the man, described as being between 40 and 60 years of age, face down in the water around 7:00 p.m. in Columbus. Authorities didn’t immediately identify the man.
Police said the cause of death in the first case is pending until a coroner’s investigation is completed and identification has been withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
