COLUMBUS – Police are warning the public about a concert ticket scam while also waiting to see if additional victims come forward.
The man is advertising tickets to the Jason Aldean concert Thursday at the Schottenstein Center on Craigslist and meeting the buyers in person where he would collect cash for the tickets and promise to transfer the tickets electronically, according to Sgt. Dennis Keith Kline of the Columbus Police Fraud/Forgery Unit.
The man is described as white, 5’9″/150 lbs. with short brown hair and blue eyes. Kline says the identity and a photo of the suspect and the victim’s name are being withheld because more victims are believed to be unidentified.
Kline says anyone who may be a victim to verify the validity of their tickets and to contact the police and file a report if the person they bought the tickets from matches the suspect’s description.
