ST. PAUL, Minn. – Trevor Larnach dashed home with the game-winning run in the 11th inning as the St. Paul Saints beat the Clippers 5-4 Tuesday night at CHS Field in the opening game of a six-game series in the Twin Cities.
The Saints took an early 3-2 lead on a three-run by Yunior Severino and the Clippers tied the game in the ninth inning on an RBI ground ball by Bryan Lavastida.
Columbus took the lead again in the 10th on a run-scoring double by Jose Tena but a misplayed ball and an errant throw by first baseman Micah Pries allowed the Saits to tie the score and Severino drove in the winning when he lofted a deep fly ball to left field off Nic Enright (3-2).
Austin Brice (3-1) got the win.
