COLUMBUS – Programs aimed at providing support to victims of rape and sexual violence in Franklin and Delaware counties are among more than two dozen statewide sharing $4.8 million in grants from the state to help rape crisis centers and sexual assault survivor programs.
Community Health Partnerships-OhioHealth will receive $350,150 to support its OhioHealth Sexual Violence Services in Franklin County and $128,434 is being awarded to HelpLine of Delaware and Morrow Counties, Inc., for its Sexual Assault Response Continuity for Survivors program.
Rape crisis centers and survivor service providers from 24 Ohio counties received grants administered by the state Office of Criminal Justice Services to help 25 programs offer virtual, remote and crisis services, support emergency needs of sexual assault survivors, and pay to attract and maintain personnel.
The program is funded with federal money from the 2021 American Rescue Plan Act and supplemental pandemic funds.
Tuesday’s announcement follows $3.6 million in family violence prevention grants and $6.7 million for domestic violence survivor programs that were announced earlier this fall.
