COLUMBUS – Police say a woman stabbed her husband to death during an argument inside their Southeast Side apartment early Thursday morning.
Octavia Gant was charged with one count of murder after officers responding to a reported stabbing in an apartment on Lakeshore North at the Hartford on the Lake at 4:15 Thursday morning found Michael Blair unresponsive and suffering from a serious stab wound, homicide unit Sgt. Jeff Strayer said.
Blair, 29, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Strayer says witnesses told investigators that Blair and Gant, 31, were involved in a heated argument that ended with Gant critically injuring her husband.
Gant was taken to the Franklin County Jail.
This is the 102nd homicide of the year in Columbus.
