Today, whether it’s national news, local news, or the copious discussions happening on social media, it seems there is always a public narrative that paints a negative picture of law enforcement.
On top of that, law enforcement departments in every market currently find themselves facing many new challenges…lack of recruitment of new officers, lack of community support, declining crime tip lines, a rise in violent crime…even limited funding. And many will agree that the image of the police and sheriff departments across the U.S. is not where it should be…even in our nation’s Capitol.
As community leaders we possess the ability to spark change – to support our central Ohio law enforcement and create a platform to help rewrite the narrative on a local level.
This year, the Columbus Radio Group will be launching a public awareness & outreach education program highlighting the positive work & priorities of our central Ohio law enforcement.
We believe having a safe and thriving community with mutual support between residents & law enforcement is good for business and contributes to stimulated social growth.
