Archie welcomed back Brothers Drake Meadery during “I’d Tap That” to catch up on all things happening at the meadery. The crew brought in several bottles of their staple meads like their best seller, Apple Pie, second best-seller, Battle Axe, and Wild Ohio to name a few. Archie also had an opportunity to sample the meadery’s latest creation, Damn Girl – a peach and apricot honeywine with notes of oak to tone down the sweetness. Brothers Drake Meadery is also featured at the Ohio Renaissance Festival where you can taste a variety of their meads along with their staple, Pollinator, which is made with raw Ohio honey and fresh-pressed Ohio apples. The meadery will also be celebrating their 11th annual Apple Pie Takeover on November 6th. Be there as the meadery releases their 2021 Apple Pie mead in a celebration with vertical flights, live music, and apple pie cocktails.
About Brothers Drake Meadery: Brothers Drake Meadery was established in 2007 in Worthington, Ohio when fewer than 40 meaderies existed in the United States. The origin of their name refers to the Drake brothers, Eric and Woody, who were creating mead well before one could readily find home brewing kits. Since then, Brothers Drake has grown up alongside the community; now offering a full bar, live music, and of course, mead in the Short North Arts District. Brothers Drake Meadery continues to fuel the growth of their community by educating their patrons through tours, demonstrations, and dynamic collaborations with other local artisans.
