Billy Schwab and Jen Burton from Seventh Son Brewing were in studio with Archie ready to welcome spring with new brews, merch, and upcoming events. Billy brought a few beers to sample, including
- Prized Possession: A new sour blended ale made from concord grapes grown right here in central Ohio. Sour red and blond ales, aged 11-18 months in barrels blended with the concord grapes and refermented. The mellower acidy helps bring a jammy quality from the grapes. It’s delicious, reminiscent of a natural wine, more so than a sour. 8.5% ABV
- Gyroscope: New hop techniques were used to create tropical aromas of passion fruit and orange citrus. 6.5% ABV
- Banshee: A lower abv at 4.5%, this is a dry easy-drinking Irish stout. With the current Guiness shortage, Banshee makes a great brew for your St. Patty’s Day plans.
Seventh Son Brewing is offering a couple of ways for you to try all of its brands. Of course, you can stop by the taproom located at 1101 N. 4TH St. in Italian Village and sample beers from each brewery. You can also reserve “The Getaway Van Experience” where you and five friends can hop into the “Getaway Van,” a 1985 Dodge camper van, on a fun and safe way for customers to travel on a 3-4 hour round trip to all 3 locations, Antiques on High, The Getaway, and Seventh Son. Tourgoers will get a good understanding of the history and the creative and technical process of Seventh Son’s brewing. Or you can ask your bartender for a Seventh Son Passport. Get stamps at all 3 breweries and receive a free t-shirt or a 6-pack for $1.
