1487 Brewery returned for another installment of the “I’d Tap That” segment on the Joe Show Drive at 5. During the show, CEO Ben King and Head Brewer George Newbrough joined Archie and DaveMan to discuss and sample some of the delicious fall seasonals currently available at the brewery, including Oktoberfest, Oh My Gourd Pumpkin Ale and Pumpkin Pie Oktoberfest. The guys also tried 1487’s limited run of Hot as Helles – a spicy take on their most popular Helles beer. And we must recommend the Oatmeal Stout for the dark beer lovers. Of course everything goes better with a massive Bavarian pretzel while drinking out of 1/2 liter boot. (Liter sizes also available at the brewery while supplies last). Ben also took a moment to revisit the brewery’s roots, inspired by Bavarian traditions.
Notably, 1487 Brewery has expanded its offerings beyond just beer. They now boast a scratch kitchen that utilizes fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, as well as a food truck. Additionally, they have ample space available for hosting a variety of events, ranging from baby showers and birthday parties to corporate happy hours, reunions, and wedding rehearsal dinners.
What’s more, their Beergarten is a standout feature, complete with a firepit, umbrellas, a pavilion with a lounge area, TVs, heaters, and fans – perfect for watching football. Perhaps most appealingly, the Biergarten is entirely welcoming to leashed and well-behaved dogs, making it a great spot for canine enthusiasts to enjoy their time at the brewery.
