Football season is synonymous with fall and there’s no better person to get you ready for a tailgate than Ambassador to Brown-Forman for the State of Ohio, Pete Wagner. Pete is no stranger to “I’d Tap That” but nothing could prepare Archie for what Pete brought to the table for this week’s segment – tailgate drinks – on a whole different level. Pete brought a full spectrum of cocktails to appease every persons’ tastebuds that you can make at home or bring to a tailgate using simple, fresh ingredients. Please remember to tailgate responsibly.
First, Pete mixed up a Maple Manhattan featuring Jack Daniel’s Rye Whiskey. This looks like Halloween in a glass. Here’s what you need to make this drink at home:
- 1 oz Jack Daniel’s Rye Whiskey
- 1 oz dry vermouth
- 2 tsp pure maple syrup
- Dash of angostura bitters
- Lemon twist and bourbon-soaked cherry, for garnish
Next, Pete served up a Jack Apple Fizz featuring Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Apple. This is a refreshing drink to start your tailgate. Here are 3 simple ingredients you’ll need to make this cocktail:
- 2oz Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Apple
- .33 oz lemon juice
- Soda water
Pete switched things up on Archie and introduced Fords Gin, creating an Apple Cocktail perfect for those who may not have a taste for bourbon.
- 2 oz Fords Gin
- 2 oz Apple Cider
- .5 oz Lime Juice
- 1 oz Honey Simple Syrup
- Dash Cinnamon
Finally, you can’t wake up on a football Sunday without a Bloody Mary made with Finlandia Vodka, especially when Pete kicks his recipe up a few notches. Here’s what you need:
- 1 oz Finlandia Vodka (infuse with a blend of peppers if you’d like)
- .5 oz Lemon juice
- 4 oz Tomato juice
- Salt & Pepper
- Worcestershire Sauce
- Hot Sauce
