With his signature beard and African headgear, Billy F Gibbons is instantly recognizable and best known as the centerpiece of ZZ Top.
BFG is widely regarded as one of the world’s finest guitarists working in the blues-rock idiom. The sound originates from the uncanny knack to squeeze unheard of sounds out of the electric guitar with the blues, pop, r&b, country, gospel, western, hillbilly and West Africa. That BFG down ‘n dirty growl is unmistakable heard on such hits as “La Grange,” “Sharp Dressed Man” and “Cheap Sunglasses”.
Billy F Gibbons is much more than an iconic guitar slinger with a monumental length of chin whiskers… He’s an internationally recognized collector of guitars and cars, noted in the best-selling book, Rock + Roll Gearhead.
Beyond guitars and cars, Gibbons has a renowned collection of African art, with an abiding interest in both the paranormal and cutting-edge technology.
Billy’s solo album releases, the Afro-Cuban flavored “Perfectamundo”, the bluesy, “The Big Bad Blues”, and the hard rockin, “Hardware” all represent what he refers to as the “Three T’s”: Tone, Taste and Tenacity. BFG is truly a highly regarded Renaissance man.
Chris “Whipper” Layton holds his remarkable standings as the drummer for Stevie Ray Vaughn & Double Trouble, along with “The Arc Angels” band, guitarist Kenny Shepherd, and now marking the cornerstone backbeat with Billy F Gibbons and “The BFG’s”.
Mike ‘The Drifter’ Flanigin is a shining light of the Texas Blues scene. A master of the Hammond B3 organ, known for his collaborations with Texas guitar legends Billy F Gibbons & Jimmie Vaughan, Flanigin is infamously known throughout the Austin Blues scene. Flanigin has done n’ played ‘em all…from juke joints, Texas and beer joints to Madison Square Garden and beyond.

Coming to Ace of Cups on Saturday, February 7th, 2026!

The rock and roll world lost an icon on October 16, 2025. Ace Frehley, best known for his fiery guitar work as a founding member of the New York rock band Kiss, passed away at the age of 74. An inspiration to millions of musicians, Ace’s musical contributions, smoking guitar licks, and spaceman persona were an integral part of the meteoric rise to fame that Kiss experienced in the 1970s. Ace experienced massive success as a solo artist once in 1978 with his Kiss solo album being the best-selling of the group, landing Ace his first hit single with New York Groove, and again after he left Kiss in 1982 where he would go on to release multiple successful albums, selling millions of records and breaking into rock charts well into his later years of life.
On February 7th, 2026, a group of some of Columbus, Ohio’s finest consisting of Cody Schrecengost, Tommy McCullough, Tristan Woodruff, and Zane Harden will take the stage at Ace of Cups to celebrate the life, legacy, and music of the man from outer space, Ace Frehley.
Playing a mix of some of Ace Frehley’s best and most beloved work, central Ohio rock fans can expect to hear faithful renditions of songs from the early days of Kiss that Ace wrote and helped
to make iconic, cuts from his best-selling 1978 solo album, and a mix of tracks from his successful solo career.
Taking the part of lead guitar and vocals is Cody Schrecengost. Best known for his run as the founding member and lead guitarist of the central Ohio rock band, Rumspringa, Schrecengost excited crowds with an energetic stage presence, classic blues rock influenced guitar work and went on to be a two-time Qfm96 House Band finalist in 2020 and 2022. Influenced heavily by Ace Frehley, Schrecengost returns to the stage in 2026 to pay tribute to his idol who he credits as the reason he started playing guitar.
Bringing an unmistakable power and precision to this group of musicians, Tommy McCullough will be manning the drum kit. McCullough made a name for himself as the drummer of the highly successful Columbus, Ohio rock band and 2019 Qfm96 House Band, South of Eden, who created thousands of fans touring across the United States with a dedication to creating music in the same way, and with the same energy that rock legends of old did. McCullough aims to excite central Ohio rock fans in February with drum work that is every bit as powerful as it is iconic.
A jack of many trades and a two-time Qfm96 House Band finalist, Tristan Woodruff will be holding down the low end on bass guitar. Making a name for himself in central Ohio as a multi-instrumentalist, Woodruff has found himself behind the drum kit for Rumspringa and The Lonely Ones, playing multiple instruments in Myrna Rose and Neverdawn, as well as playing bass for Cozen. Woodruff brings a versatility to this show that will aim to recreate and pay homage to some of rock’s most iconic basslines.
Handling the duties of the second guitarist is Zane Harden. Harden, a versatile guitarist influenced by the likes of Slash, brings a powerful tone and groove to this group of musicians. Harden is known for his guitar work in multiple Ohio rock groups, including his current band, Black Hat, that has been gigging around the central Ohio area for the past few years. Harden’s guitar work will fill out the sound of this group with precision and harmony.
Schrecengost, McCullough, Woodruff, Harden, as well as all of us at Qfm96 invite you to Ace of Cups on February 7th, 2026, to celebrate the life and music of Ace Frehley in the best way we know how, by playing his music loud and ensuring that his musical spirit lives on.

Eating snow cones or snow cream can be a winter delight, if done safely
As the recent winter storm recedes, residents of lesser-affected areas might be tempted to whip up bowls of "snow cream" — snow combined with milk, sugar and vanilla — after seeing techniques demonstrated on TikTok. Others might want to try "sugar on snow," a taffy-like confection made by pouring hot maple syrup onto a plate of snow.
