The Gahanna American Legion Post 797 is proud to present the third annual “Walk in Our Boots 5K,” a community-driven event dedicated to supporting homeless veterans in the Columbus area. This impactful event raises funds to provide essential items such as clothing, toiletries, household goods, and other necessities for veterans transitioning from homelessness to stable housing

With an estimated 100 veterans already housed at National Church Residences’ Livingston Commons – and a second 100-unit facility under construction – the need for community support is greater than ever. Thanks to past generosity, the event has successfully stocked an emergency food pantry for a full year and raised nearly $7,000 in 2024 to provide much-needed resources to veterans in need. This year, the goal is to make an even greater impact, ensuring no veteran faces homelessness alone.
